Got to wonder about Harley riders (posers) - are they all Richards?

    Harleys

Do some Harleys have teflon coating on their crankcases to stop them biting in on corners. It seems to wear off rather quickly.

Meh, nothing makes us feel good like a bit of 'he's got an expensive bike' bashing - 'whack!' and an added 'he's a Harley rider' bashing' -"biffo!" followed by a 'he's more dumb than me' snotting' -"whammo!"

Oh yes, now I feel soooo good about ME!!, I now know I'm sooo much better than that guy!

Carry on, business as usual on KB!!

and reached 80km/h through the residential streets of Mt Wellington.

It ended when the motorcycle, followed closely by a police car, failed to take a gentle bend on Commissariat Rd just before the intersection with Aranui Rd.
    Gentle bend at 80 kph?

    Aye scum
What shits me all the ones who say 'Harleys are ....' and they haven't even SAT on one.
Late model Harleys go well, handle quite nicely and are pretty reliable. I KNOW - I've ridden every model in the range. So don't be a dick and say 'Harleys are....' UNTIL you've at least ridden one.

Maybe he had more concerns than a broken taillight?
Maybe he was unlicensed, un-rego'd, etc and didn't want to get done for that.
Maybe he was pissed and didn't want to get done for that.
Maybe he was known to police and wanted for "other stuff" and didn't want to be ID'd ond done for that.
Maybe he didn't actually know that he'd drawn attention to himself because of a faulty tail light, and was running from other stuff.
Or of course maybe he was just a dumb shit?

Too many ifs and maybe's. The guy certainly seems to be a dick from the way the story is written, but don't believe everything you read.
The views expressed above may not match yours - But that's the reason my Dad went to war - wasn't it?
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!

Need a chill-pill SD? I was just amused by the way the Harold's report seemed to confirm our cherished sterotypes......talking of which Retroscooters in MT Eden now have PINK scooters....mmmm.

mate.... If certain newspaper reporters had written the new testament then even Zed would think Jesus was a dickhead!

Don't believe everything you read and yes, I'll bet there was more than one reason the guy decided to do a runner, including the sort of macho bollocks we read on KB...

However, if you could slip into his subconcious mind, past all the broken bits and the pain and offer him a deal, lets say turn back time and make it all go away for 6 months loss of license and a $1,000 do you reckon he would take that deal now? I bet he did more than that in damage to the bike!

Funny old world! (everyone says that but no one laughs)

Agreed. But to you, are any of those issues worth dying over? Also, if you personally knew me, you'd know that I'm an extremely media-critical person.
