Kiwi Biker Riders Club?

I am unclear as to what benefits people expect a "club" to provide that Kiwibiker doesn't already offer?

Under my devine leadership, erm I mean helpful guidence we will roll across the country and crush all who, erm I mean protect our lawful rights as citizen of the new biker army erm I mean this fair country.... Equal rights for ALL (except we will be more equal than others wink wink)...

Plus I have these REALLY cool uniforms figured out, all black with loads of chrome stuff and tall leather boots... Oh.. Hang on, I think the HOG guys are already doing that...

the policital pull would be great, but to run a club or organasition would be a huge commitment, espically of this size. and a shit of a thing to get going.

i like your idea placid, i can see the good and the bad for both sides.

to be national would be easy. you would start divisions, each with a voting power. but man it would be a huge ammount of work, and asking people for money is a bit much.

i know many on here like myself who are already involved in clubs on the out side. but also having the kb site to log onto gives me a greater diversity of rides, races, info, ideas, and mainly other riders.

nah tis fine as it is... what you could look to do on the side (not directly as part of KB) is to start a 'club' for a certain group - eg the "Gixxer Club" which recently started up. You could also consider the "fightclub" to be a club but thats open to anyone that has the balls to go out for a blat with them.

So when's the inaugural Ninja Riders outing?

Seems to me that aside from NOT getting KB Club Discounts at Bike Shops we are already operating as an informal club. Its really no hassle to organise a Nationwide official Club ( Chapters is how ya do it folks ) but why? I belong to HOG and sure I enjoy it but what I like about KB is the informality. Anyone who has been on the site awhile and done a few KB rides has met people that they I'll bet they now ride with on a regular basis, I certainly have! But theres no pressure to attend meetings, do the "Monthly Club Ride" and all that crap.
However if anyone were to suggest a wkend rally... that would be wicked and I would definately be there... Thats a guaranteed way to make a heap of new friends and riding buddies!

Kiwi Biker never has been, nor never will be a club. KB is a resouce that any biker can use no matter what club, bussiness or bike type they use or are involved with.

There are enough clubs out there that people can join if they want to. Why turn KB into one? I like the fact that KB is made up of a very diverse group of bikers from New Zealand and around the world who can come on here and talk about stuff that interests them. Why do we need to introduce buerocracy to it? The reality is that clubs are formed so people can ride together, do track days together and socialise together. We already do that.
