Well got home alright last night about 5.30pm, left Whangarei 12.50pm. The wind along the Rurakaka/Waipu straights was the worst. All the major state highway signs were blown out, and only their frames left twisted and empty. There must have been at least 10-15 mid-sized to major trees across the road through the night. The road looked like someone had dropped bombs on it with random craters for about 80kms, I nicked the edge of one I didnt spot, but fortunately was powering up and skipped over the top of it. There were people at the Wellsford Golf course on the other side of the road scratching their heads at an upturned shed that had obviously been blown off the course.
Copped a little rain but nothing major to speak of, but nearly got blown into a motorway barrier on the flats approaching the Bombay hills from the Auckland end. Got to say it was a real test of focus and awareness most the way home, but I was surprised at how solidly the prilly sat on the road in those strong winds. Its great to be back in the sunshine city, even if it is a little cooler.

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

Now and forever
you're just another lost soul about to be mine again
see her, you'll never free her
you must surrender it all
And give life to me again
