As long as it's done at the recommend intervals it's not usually a problem who does it in my experiance with cars so don't see why bikes would be any different.

Find a mechanic you like Ralfy old boy and sick with them... watch out for young fullas who dont know shit and old fullas that are only around for the pay cheque.

If your only getting a service because its due for an oil change... tell them what work you want done... ie air-filter clean, new oil filter and oil, it's not much use going the whole 10 yards if its running fine.
But if its running a bit off get a diagnostic done, this should point out inject ballance problems, fuel mixture, temperature amoung other things.
