Good thing I did too cause I ran into a guy on a Aprillia RSV-R Factory (same colour and stuff as Units) Who happend to be from San Antonio, Texas.

Hopefully he'll be joining up soon. He said all his current riding mates arn't riding as much these days.

Hey Guys and Gals,

It seems to me as if we are losing focus of what this thread is about and the fact that we are on thin ice with being put in Pointless Drivel.

Last week we went to the Oko which is a wicked place but think we should meet somewhere in town.
Also a few of us had no idea what was going on last week! and the same is happening this week. Imagine what other people thought if they wanted to come along for the first time!
Edit: A little scared of the locals at the Oko now anyway

So how bout we get it back on target?

My view is that we try one or two more places like Brewers and then Aj's over the next couple this weeks and those of us that turn up at Aj's will make a decision that night on where we will meet, alternatively we could start a poll like ding dong tried a while ago.
I just don't think the strand is a good place considering Thurs is the new Fri and many of the bars there have things on like poker nights etc.....
After all where would we park, can't park all those bikes on the foot path we're likely to get a ticket for obstructing pedestrians.

Hi Mate, have you got that battery sorted? I had a dud battery in my brand new bike - all sorted no probs, but there was this aire of "Yeah right" when I told them I was having probs with the battery not cranking the new sickle.

Ok maybe skip brewers then altogether a, Aj's is down Maungatupu rd off the welcome bay round about. So coming from hamilton way turn off just before the express way to the mount.
I've never been there, I believe it was one that Baby B brought up as a possibility, personally my vote goes to the Rose and Thistle.

Mate my experiance is that when ever you take a battery to a shop they're the expert and the customer doesn't know shit.
I've taken batteries in before after testing it and said it was stuffed and why and the usual response is "I doupt it's the battery" and they're saying this to an electrician??
It's usually the same when you tell them it's the rect/reg pack.

Yea wasn't gonna wait on Bayride so bought one from Smiths for $76. Think something may be wrong with my starter or idler gears now. It's doing the same thing the Virago was doing just before I had to replace those on it.

Got that kind of attitude from Bayride. I may not know much about batteries but the two other bikes shops I took it too should have known something lol.


I'm a prenail manufacturer and my promotion isn't alot more than I was already doing, just now I'm incharge of one of the jigs instead of just being a helper at one of the jigs. I'm also to start training for the supervisors position to help him at first then take over whenever he decides to leave.
