    EARTHRACE... check this out

OK I work in the Viaduct Basin Akld and across the road from work there is a BEAST moored... I know it ain't a bike but I'll bet the people on board share all the same feelings/ adrenalin rushes etc... as us bikers! It is a thing of beauty!
BTW I believe it runs on Energy efficient environmentally friendly fuel...

I believe the guy who's running the project wants to fuel (in part) from recycled human fat. There was a bit about him on the news

Cool boat BB, might have to pop down and see it in the flesh, any idea how long it's moored there for?

Had a read thru that Herald article, the $300,000 wave-piercer was built in my back yard here in Whenuapai, gotta be good for NZ, and he was right in predicting the price of Diesel rising significantly way back in Sept last year!

And Colapop, it's recycled 'animal' fat, not human dude.

Too bad it isn't human fat - that is a true renewable resource in today's lard arse world

But as part of his marketing of the project he got some fat removed from himself to show people that human fat can be used in bio diesel as well.

And the guy who is organising this whole thing is Pete Bethune, he currently lives in Torbay.

This whole project is due for launch this Friday (24th).

You do see human fat being burned in boats quite regularly... anytime an oar hits the water...

That things a sexy boat, and I love the technology. Might have to pop down and see it today..
