    I joined a gym

Joined a gym last week, first night on Friday and back today (Sunday)
The good points; got to see the super bike racing as they have Sky.
The bad points; I'm in pain, lots and lots of pain! Kill me now!
I haven’t done diddly squat for over a year and now I'm paying for it!
Good gym tho... Lots of toys and free classes, plenty of gear to go round and a well-stocked weight room.
$20 a week if you sign up for 3 years, (transferable after a year) and I can spend time with my wife getting fit and healthy!
    Off to shoot myself.

Anyone know of any good Tai Kwon Do places in between Auckland and Takanini?
Got to get back into it.
We all have our little obsessions...

    Na, I'd never use it.
I have to be motivated, and if its at home I'll ignore it and just sit here typing crap that you have to read!
If I have to go out I'm more likely to go and do it.
$20 a week isn’t bad, if I'm fit I can ride faster and smoother for longer and have a quicker recovery time too!

Have a look on Bowflex website

Prices go from $1695 to $3995

But if you're disciplinned enough to attend a gym, ya can't beat it. I prefer having an Xtreme 2 at home where no muscle heads can laugh at me and I can use in my own time.

    [Spellcheck] Pinnacle even? [/Spellcheck]

I'd have to say I'd be in the same boat as myvice, all very well to have the gear at home, but having the motivation to use it? Once you get to the gym and decide to have a workout, you actually have a decent one to make it worth the trip, rather than just lifting the weights a couple of times and thinking "Meh, I'm done."

Nice one myvice, though it does seem a touch expensive, even for a gym... and a whole three year contract? Ouch baby, very ouch...

D/Esq, I'm of the opposing school of thought. Can't be fucked heading out to a gym for a workout but quite happily spend an hour a night working out at home.

    Funny ol' world aint it.

Yeah true, I get that frame of mind as well. Gym's too far away, too expensive, too many people you can f#$@ up in front of, and fixed long term contracts kinda concript you into going but more because you feel bad that you've otherwise wasted your money...

    Carry on.

Meh, I'm too lazy to work out either way... :slap:
