Akl Thurs Night Ride and Drinks 2nd March @ 6.45pm

We are having a weekly Thurs night ride until daylight savings starts...........

What: A romp in the Northern Valleys
When: Thursday night after work on the 2nd March
Where: Meeting @ Shell Westgate (at the end of the North Western M/Way)
Why: Because there is more to motorcycling than just talking about it
Time: Meeting there from 6.45pm departing @ 7.15pm
Pace: Open to all groups (however this is not a race

, it is a after-work cruz)

The route will be discussed on the night. For those worried about distance/time the ride will last for approx 1hr and is 70kms long. We start at Westgate and finish up at the old Albany Pub. Even if you cant make the ride, how about joining us at the pub?

Remember this ride is WEATHER PERMITTING - I will post up in the thread if it is postponed due to weather. I will decide on the day and post after 5pm.

This ride caters for all levels of riding - so Learner/newbies are welcome!! Same goes for the fast crew.....

You can count on my Hyosung been there. With me on it, of course, might bring the missus along too, were picking up her bike tomorrow so she'll be a real learner (i.e. 120kmph max).

According to the long range weather forecast there are suppose to be showers early in the morning and more developing in the evening. I think it will be alright however the road may be damp in some places if we aren't lucky, so it may be a slow ride, whoo hoo!

Regardless, I think it'd be good to still meet up at the Pub.

argh. choices choices. was going to go to the auckland motorcycle club rooms on thursday night to signup.

this sounds like more fun though!

It's happened before and there is a good chance it will happen again.... One of the first Thurs night rides ended up in a totally wet, rain logged bunch of riders who rode from Westgate, straight to the Speights bar in Albany. Lets hope it doesnt happen on thursday...... fingers crossed.

(If it is raining heavy it will be postponed till next week but if its light rain we can meet up at normal time and place, take a vote on what we wanna do - either ride like intended or just gap it to the pub.)
