Its Alive !! Finally the bitch goes!

Just spent about a month trying to get me bike going, have just found the main jet in one of the carbs had fallen out (never screwed back in after cleaning)
just needs some tweaking to run smoothly. Anyone know how many times to screw out the pilot on a GPZ400R ? got 2 1/4 for the gpz 1000 so dunno ??

Nice to see somebody else gets visits from the 'Gargre Gremlins,' good you got it sorted.

Explains a lot. By 'pilot' you mean the idle-mix screw?? If so, a good starting point would be 1.5 turns out from seated, fine tune from there.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
