Iam currently painting the exterior of a house during the day, except when it is raining. So if Tuesday is wet then that'd be a good day. Failing that the following weekend would be fine.Originally Posted by Gremlin

If the rest of you are looking for a rear stand, the mkII looked pretty flashy, with a few shapely curves in them. Couple of adjustments from the mkI definitely make them nicer, but with two sets of arms, I prefer the sliding arms of mkI.
For one set of arms, the threads for arms make a lot of sense, don't move as easily, and don't have the little securing nuts to get bentStupid zorst....

Cheers for that Fraser. $150 has got me a strong stand that will take both swingarm and bobbin bikes. And I get to support a KB'er having a bit of fun designing them and making them.
You lot check them out if you are interested... just get the turnoff right... silverdale is nothing amazing![]()

Just bought one, thanks swanman. Does the trick, makes working on the bike way easier. Check em out if you're looking for a stand.
I just took delivery of a MkII and I'm very happy. Thanks swanman - it was a pleasure to deal with you, and not only is the stand excellent but you wrapped it up very well so it arrived (courier) safe 'n' sound. I'm no engineer, but the stand seems plenty strong enough and certainly does the job - it fitted my SV650S no problem and held it nice and stable.
Damn - now I don't have any excuses for not oiling my chain...!
Thanks!
Cheers, mate.Originally Posted by hsvboy06

Have now got the stands fully developed. They are the bizz.
Here they are in red. Have bobbin hooks laser cut and zinked. The angled lifters are also zinked. There are nylon protectors under the stand to protect the paintwork. All in all very happy with this final product.
Price is still $110.
cool!
front ones yet?
you should come round sometime soon *wink wink*
How much to courier down to the west coast, south island. Have got a zx7r.
Yeah, make that two people interested in them in the south island, so let us know what the cost would be.
Just like everything else I've bought in the last 9yrs, I'll buy it first then work out how to use it one handed!
you should be fine, you would just have to be a little bit more careful placing it before lifting the bike upOriginally Posted by onearmedbandit
Thanks sAsLEX. Could someone who has got one of these stands try it one handed for me, I'm keen to get one so it would be good to know what I will need to do, if anything, to use it. Right hand for those that don't know.Originally Posted by sAsLEX
I've got one on the way, you're welcome to try itOriginally Posted by onearmedbandit
Excellent, thanks Kickaha. Let me know when it arrives and I'll finally come out your way!
I reckon you could do it one handed no probs. I use my knee and my right hand to push the stand down anyway. You can actualy push the stand down with your foot and steady the bike with your hand.Originally Posted by onearmedbandit
