i thought that you either went in bikes, or dial your own, and in dial your own dont you race yourself (try to get close a time without beating it)

Yeah its pretty much like that except in practice you can race against other cars.

I'm going in DYO as I won't stand a chance against most of the other bikes that show up. Last time I was at Meremere there was a turbo busa which ran a 9.37

Well, i'm now a bottle of whisky better off!

Met up with Gareth_d at Westgate then rode to st johns to pick up tristank. (I don't think Yamaha really had really designed the R6 for passengers, particularly tall passengers ). Rode down SH1 into what appeared to be increasing darkening skies, was all good when I got there though. Did a few practice runs which ranged from 13.2 to 12.8. I'd entered DYO as i'd have no chance against pretty much all of the other bikes there. Had a bit of a disaster in the first round when the thing which holds the clutch didn't work properly . I think I ran an 18.xx .

My friend in the Silvia's best time was a 13.3, so it was sort of close but not too close for comfort.

Nice meeting ya Road Rash, hope to see you on a bike again sometime soon.

Its the last meeting for the year on the 17th so i'll probably go down then, not sure if i'll race or not. Maybe on ride around Queen st tonight and do some 1/4 mile sharking or something.

Good to see you there CFS, got your launches nailed impresively.. and those times. ITS A BLOODY 650 TWIN! Nice times man... nice!

    Cheers for the ride gareth.

Edit: fastest time of the night went to the insane drag bus.. 9.96 I think, closest cage was 10.6, some noisy hideous batmobiel thing.

    yeh good shit tom!

hopefully those blokes on the 600'd will show up to the drag/stunt day because one had a modified redbull gsxr600 and loved the drags, the other guy was on a stock alstare 600 and loved wheelies!

good to see the road legal busa's having a play too!

both the guys on the 600's are mates of mine.

the guy with the red bull bike owns both of them
    the lucky punk

I will pass on the info to them both about the stunt day and try and get them to come along

the modded 600 did like 11.5 and the other one got like 11.9
but both times were with the guy who loves mono's ridding

were you there by any chance? I remember talking to road rash... he was hanging with them.

They know about the site already... but if you could get them to come that would be good.

The Mr 'i love to do monos' guy was a navy bloke from auckland.
