Had helmets with D-rings and the one I have now has a clip. The clip is quick and easy, especially if you're a bit special like me and get your gloves and stuff on, and then realise you ain't got your helmet on; but find that the clip adjusters get looser and looser and have to tighten them every couple of dozen times. Pain in the arse, not sure how good loose chin strap would be during a bin.

Loose chin straps are a no no. Quite a few stresses involved when your scones bouncing around the road inside a hunk of Fibreglass.

I had a helmet with a snap lock and yes, very convenient but I could see how they could pop open when all hells breaking loose. Got myself an HJC with a D ring. Ar11 I think. Haven't looked back. It's quieter and cuts the air better, which is good on a naked bike.

D-rings are still the safest but yes, inconvenient, especially when you have forgotten to shove on some necessary clobber.
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

Still waiting for my helmet to arrive.
It has been held up in a container for the last 2 or 3 months apparently.
Might have to start looking at something else soon.

The story the local shop has been told by the supplier is that the container on its way to the South Island was pierced by a fork lift.
Insurance has held it up until it's sorted.
They must be all away on OEs or something I think!

    I've got a HJC AC10.

    It's got D rings.

I find that the visor fogs if I close it for around town riding. I usually leave it 1 or more clicks open. It's my first helmet so I can't compare to anything else.
