Did any see a tubby obnoxious bastard on a black R6 (or poss a Mille thou) racing (from the Naki)? He won the 600 class last year but not sure if he was racing this year or not?
It's all fun and games until someone loses a hymen

    Interesting...

I'd run the ancient Moto Guzzi up there for a laugh and just to make up the numbers if that would help? It would not go very fast but it would maka lotsa da noise. I'd not be going hard as hard because it's a nice old thing and I really don't want to bend it if I can help it.

Looking at the website I sort of got the impression it was all pretty professional and for fast bikes only and was a bit put off even thinking about it. Reading it again after reading this, I suppose being able to ride up in heavy worsted trousers I should have thought better.

I reckon a chat with the Classic Club would have seen a few other old nails heading up there.

    Cheers

I remember him from last year but pretty sure he wasn't there on Sunday.

Stephan Hodson (sp) won his class on an old (excuse ignorance) Triumph - shit it was in beautiful condition. Probably the best detailed bike there. It was mint.

There are at least five support classes, based on bike year. It would be great to see more bikes entering, even for the fun of blatting up a closed road. It is only as dangerous as people want it to get.

They also had a wheelie and burnout session but only got one taker on a ZX9R I think - nice burnout though.

    .
Seriously? Would you guys actually like old wrecks in the supporting classes?

I just kinda thought we were oil spewing rolling chicanes and discouraged? The TR6C should be running by then and I reckon it would be a bloody hoot up there.

    Cheers

Umm, yeah I guess oil on the road wouldn't be very nice.

We saw you and Vicki ride past the Gladstone Pub just before prizegiving.

The organisers were really keen to see more entries, and if they lost money this year who knows what might happen ?

Yup.. Trouble with older machines, you just cannot be 100% sure that won't happen. Oh well, I guess the old and new are not such a good mix after all..

    I humbly withdraw...
