What annoys me is that it appears that his congregation knew that they were paying for it, the guy on T.V last night said it was a "gift" from the church for their wedding anniversary.... It appears that me these people really are brainwashed, imo!

Courtesy of his congregation him and his wife were "gifted" a $40,000 plus luxury cruise (not sure what ship) as a wedding anniversary present.

I have no "evidence" one way or the other but...

If it smells like a pig, looks like a pig, sounds like a pig - it's probably a pig.

so... if it looks like the flock is being fleeced by Bishop Brian, sounds like the flock is being fleeced by Bishop Brian...

The masses love him. I have nothing to offer against the guy really - I've not seen anything outside what the press offers up (and lets face the facts - they can be a little biased toward the "dramatic")... but all the same...

$40 wedding anniversary from God's money? That's a lot of sponsored kids, or other good works...

So, we slag the media off 'cos we believe their reporting to be inaccurate/biased/untrue...

    yet

we're wrapped around the media's little finger when it comes to reporting about good ol' Mr Tamaki...

Thats exactly right! When the Tamakis where in Rotorua and not that well known they were just another family, since having moved to Auckland and starting Destiny Church up there they have suddenly become very well off. They get round this by telling their church goers that God is blessing them richly and that if everyone else devoted their lives to god in the same way they too could be blessed by God in the same way.... brainwashing brainwashing brainwashing!

And here's me thinking that the only personal benefits to be had from ministering god's words were supposed to be spiritual. Maybe I should reconsider my career choice.
