    Arrow Superbikes at Philip Island.

Troy Corser was hit in the head by another bike at Philip Island in the second race.
He was hit by Alex Barros's bike who is from Brazil.

    (cheers Sparrow for the surname)

Troy is ok... with a few minor wounds.

It was just seen on the TV1 midday news... today 6th March 2006
He is one lucky guy after seeing that accident.

Sorry to the moderators if this is in the wrong forum...
Could you move it to the correct one if this is in the wrong place.
    Thanks.

Yeah, it was not too good watching it during the race. He was hit, after high siding, by Alex Barros.

Aside from the accidient there was some great racing yesterday at Phillip Is. and it's going to be a great year of racing for the Superbikes, they have a strong field and bikes look a bit more even than last year when the Suzuki was light years ahead.

Didn't look like he got hit in the head to me, looked like he got hit on the hump of his leathers.

...agreed mate especially when you could see his "hump" all torn up like it was. A nasty one none the less tho.

    Cool

Sorry guys.... I guess I saw it wrong...
I saw his head bouncing around as the bike hit him up near the head area.
    My apologies.

The first race was exciting between Corser and Barros. Corser was really lighting the Gixxer up out of the corners in the last laps !!

Geez Corser was bloody lucky. When barros hit him he almost highsided himself. I only saw it quickly but it did look like he was hit in the head. Then he does a huge dive to get himself off the track!

His head glanced off the side fairing. Push his head out of the way just enough that it didn't get collected by the foot peg - which went on to trash his aero hump.

Lucky, very lucky. Was close to that infamous accident many years ago where Mick Doohan (think it was him) collected some guys head. No way to avoid it.
