Big ones, small ones, old ones, new ones...place was really buzzing! Let's hope today's ride will keep up the good work. (I hear what sounds like a HD warming up as I type!)

Prolly see you in 6 weeks when I get back in the country.

Thanks Momentum for the great Bar-B-Q at your place, and all that made it to the Toy Run. As my first time on a Toy Run, I had a really great time, and encourage anyone that hasn't been on one before to consider it next year![]()

Ok, here are some pics that I took, sorry about the quality, as it was taken on my phone. Would like some more pics if someone wouldn't mind posting them...

All of the parked bikes in Hamilton.
I followed someone from Hamilton to Cambridge with a pillion, who had a video cam I think .. who was that? and want to share?![]()
Great meeting some of you guys and gals too. Had an awesome run back to Tokoroa through the country lanes. Some pics attached.
Geoff
Scorpygirl and I had a great ride from Cambridge to Hamilton. I was surprised to hear the final figure of 966 bikes.:spudwhat: Sure looked like more than that to me.![]()
Rode back with a yellow sprot bike rego a5hly for most of the trip to Auckland. If you are a KBer take a bow.Your riding through traffic and on the open road was very controlled. No cagers will be able to whinge about bikers doing stupid things.
Anything that helps us earn brownie points deserves a mention.:spudwave:
Keep the shiny side upright, Rhino.
Yip, had a blast as usual on the run on the back of the GoldWing!!! :spudflip: Heaps of people out and about waving at us.
Waved my arms of while holding a small teddy with a rattle in it.![]()
Rhino and I also managed to buy a Crazy Frog Toy from the Red Shed yesterday. You push the frogs tummy and he screams out Blammmmmmmmm Bahbah etc. The kids will think this is way cool.![]()
A great atmosphere all round.
Small and dangerous with a sting in my tail!!
Ride could have been longer though. Was a much smoother ride than the Westpac ride in auckland, keeping everyone in one lane really did the trick. (Was it my imagination or was it really only sprots bikes riding in the right hand lane?)
Thinking about joining Ulysses so that next year we can convince them that the ride could be a bit longer..maybe via Te Awamutu?
Afterwards went to Raglan for lunch, lot of bikes there and another great ride both ways, apart from the little mob of HDs which passed us on a straight, only to brake hard in the middle of a corner...WTF?????? Nothing in the way, no reason to brake that I could see.![]()
Big ups to Zero index for putting this together, and who could forget Ulysses, Word... Also, cheers to Momentum and his family for putting up their place for us, That was brilliant! Great to meet some people from the locality.
My Wife loved it, said it was really good to meet you guys,
Sorry Slim, after seeing you with the bunny ears, missed out on saying hello!
Last but not least, big ups to everyone who took photos of me!! Yaya!!
Boyd hh er Suzuki are my heroes!
The best deals, all the time!
Anyone else the the Kawasaki fall over almost on top of the lil girl?? Kiddie was climbing on the bike (on the downhill side of the slope) and the bike fell over almost on top of her. She was ok, but some nasty scrapes on the plastics, bent lever, smashed indicator, scratched frame, scratched handle bar weight.....and one owner who from what I could see was too furious to speak! To her credit the kid's mother hung around, I know one little girl who won't be getting any pocket money for a long, long time!
Moral of this story?? I really don't know! You can't watch your bike every second of the day, and you can't stop the public from perving at our bikes.
Could have been worse though..imagine if the bikes had been closer together, would have been like that insurance ad on telly where the bikes go down like dominoes!
I can give a good moral for the story.... one word ELECTRIC-F**KING-FENCE!Originally Posted by Aitch

Terminal Addict: The pillion with the camera's rider was Jesta, who deserves BIG UPs for coming all the way from Cambridge to be part of our little trip.
I really need a bigger bike, running out of steam at 110km/h is just NOT ON!!!

Had a great day, met up with other KBer's at the Autobarn I think about 11 or so of us headed off, the ride down to Cambridge was a blast, don,t know who set the pace, BUSA PETE or M1CRO, good pace nothing silly.
Was a big turn out, the kids on the side of the road look like they enjoyed the spectical don,t know about some of the cagers stuck at the intersections some of them looked a bit pissed at use all. still its about the kids and thats what matters.
All the drivers I saw looked pretty relaxed. Any idea how long it took for all the bikes to go past?Originally Posted by oldguy
