    FS: Crashed Andrew Stroud's superbike

Andrew Stroud's 2003 spare race bike (he didn't race it because he didn't crash)
Raced for 2 seasons by Vaughn Paterson. Bike had about 5500kms on it when it was put back on the road and I bought it. Now has about 7000kms.
    Engine prepared by Ray Clee
Milled head (Can't remember exact CR. Runs fine on 95, I ran it on 98)
    Yoshimura stage 1 cam
    Yoshimura ECU
175HP@wheel (with a yoshi full exhaust and headgasket. Bike currently has jandalled stock exhaust and stock gasket.)
    Yoshimura adjustable swingarm pivot inserts
    Aftermarket brake pads
    Was soooo beautiful to ride

    At last count, it needed:

Fairing (just about the whole set)
    Very minor ding in tank
    Footpegs
    Exhaust headers and endcan
    Oil cooler
    Radiator
    Rear wheel

Is that the complete list of mods or has the bike got aftermarket suspension, damper, clip-ons, gearing ,yada yada?

That's the complete mod list - they took most of the goodies off when they put it back on the road.

Have you replaced the rear wheel? One of the pics shows it bent.
Is the frame straight? The front wheel doesn't look like it's in the right place. Could be the pic.

Sorry to hear about your Jandalled Gixx. Hope you get as good a result as you can.

The Jandal chose you. You could not escape it's reach.
Tha Jandal: Adding another dimension to "rubber side down"

Jandal [jan-duhl] noun: a mythical entity presiding over bikers
Jandal [jan-duhl] verb: "to jandal" is to involuntarily separate from one's boik.
Jandalled [jan-duhlled] past tense - usage: "bro, I've just gone and jandalled it"

    full fibreglass fairing set

    general fairing search

    Radiator ETC

and get the rim straightened by smythe and yeates in cambridge will be approx $200 + paint.

so looks like the bike could be sweet for $1500-2000 on top of the buying cost, of course looking at the pics the fairings a salvagable and repairable... go custom paint?

wish i had the money for it, someones gonna be lucky.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Cheers Gareth. It would be a bargain, but an anonymous tipster has just given me some disturbing news about the history of the bike and the nature of the failure that caused the accident. I'll post more in the general section.

Please don't go to Colemans to have a look at the bike. I have received a shitty phone message from them complaining about people wanting to see the bike. So, bikers not welcome at Colemans.

Your anomymous tipster has his info wrong, that bike lost a sump plug after a shop servive, no mistery here. My guess is that the same person that put the sump plug back in put a new oil filter in as well, and damaged the O ring on the filter, which has just now let go causing you this grief.

Good on you for trying to be honest with every one though mate

Cannot gaurantee a thing without seeing the bike as it is now!

I would be chasing the owner all over town to get the bike back so you can inspect it
