Especially the offer of a swap, much appreciated, funny thing though Colemans "made a mistake in the pricing" and I got both items for less then the original quoted price for just the Gear lever.![]()

If you were half as smart as you think you are you'd be twice as smart as you are now
Glad it worked out![]()
Colemans came to the party had made a mistake in the pricing, so I now have both parts and will attempt replacements sometime this weekend if kids allow. Just one question with the clutch what does watch out for the switch mean? do I have to do anything other than remove the one bolt that passes through the apex of the lever?
Cheers

I think the SV1000 has a hydraulic clutch but the mirco switch and layout should be similar.........you just need to be aware it is there and the pin... attachment should be the same as the cable clutch lever...... slotted bolt from the top with a nut (10mm socket or ringspanner) underneath.Originally Posted by LaggCity

but stuck on the gear lever, the foot peg I have removed by pulling out circlip and then pulling pin, but it leaves the mounting bracket which has to be removed to get at the gear lever, no idea how to remove this?![]()

Yes,thats what i mean't
It looks the same as the TL1000 rearset,at the inside will be a capscrew that threads into the footpeg hanger, the gearshift like the brake pedal pivots on it.It will probably have loctite holding so you will need a power bar and inhex.... If you need the tools to do it,shoot me a PM.
Idealy you need to remove the rearset (8mm hex) from the bike ..then put that end piece in the vice (soft jaws) (with the peg removed as you have done)..then you can remove the capscrew at the rear.
You should be able to see the head of the capscrew back here.
I can see it but cant get to it, im thinking of drilling the end of the gear lever putting a bolt in so i can get it to a shop, I dont have any tools that will fit
