    Photographer wanted

instead of calling around people on yellowpages we might have some professional (or semi professional) photographers among us.

I'm look for someone to come out to stillwater (10m north of auckland's north shore) and take a family photo and print it 'frame and stick on the wall' style like maybe 50cm x40cm or nearabouts.

Or can anyone make a recommendation?

otherwise im looking for a 6MP or higher camera and tripod to borrow for a few hours (that folds up and fits on a bike backpack)

    Cheers in advance

Thanks - but not my gig.
Bikes or boobs and I'm there.

Geoff Osborne is in Albany - he's the best I've worked with here.
Andrew Bright does good work for KR too.

I can take a pic, but I haven't got access to any decent printers to print it out on. I'd stick on a disc or mem stick (I'm sure you have a few of those ) and then you can take it to a photo shop and print it for a couple of bucks

what MP is your cam buggy? I've got a 3.2mp but I dont think that would come out nice at a3(ish)

    tripod?

I guess it would work out better (read: cheaper) to do it that way. photoshop or perhaps my huge hank of a color laser at work perhaps.... hmm.

There is more to a good potrait than simply putting a camera on a tripod (no matter what mp you have) You need the lighting etc. I have the camera and stuff but not the studio equipment for potraits

Check this site out for a photographer

my camera is 5mp and the werx camera is 8mp. and i have a tripod.
I've got a bubble jet printer actually, and some photopaper spare (forgot about that!), which will do a4 boarderless (but I lost the 'boarderless print driver, so it's not boarderless at the moment..)

plus i have photoshop for lighting and camera effects

    LONG LIVE THE DIGITAL AGE!!!

heh. thanks buggy. yeah its true you can ++ digital photo's color etc. I would PSP the picture up a bit myself but I reckon your better with color levels etc.

If you think you could ride out to stillwater on sun afternoon and take a couple pics with ur work cam let me know how much $$ (via pm) and if anything duck creek rd is a hella cool 5k road for riding if a little scary in some places

There's a guy called Stuart McKellar-Bassett - 09-480-8898 was the last number I had for him.

Really good photographer. I knew Andrew when he lived in Wellington and like me he can take good motorsport pics but it doesn't necessarily translate well for family portraits!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
