I don't go on newbie rides anymore unless I know whom I'm riding with. Yesterday's ride was meant for serious or experienced riders only, so I thought a bit of passing would be tolerated.

If you don't feel like a bit of a blat why don't you move over and let people pass? It only takes a second.

Passing was tolerated. Riding like a dickhead was not.

I was just going to leave it as things said between individuals on the day with no record, but JSG's post was such a load of arse. Someone had to put the record straight.

He's not that bad, and i don't mind riding with him.. he rides at his own pace, always pulls to the left when youre behind him, what more can you ask of him..

Don't dangerously overtake - no matter how impatient you're getting!
Don't make idiotic statements like "you can ride just like you do on the track down any road like state highway 22"

WeeStromer, if it were just me that felt this, I'd keep it to myself. However there are at least 4 other rides just from yesterday who feel exactly the same way - this is enough to seriously concern, let alone several other riders on other rides who have expressed the same sentiments in the past.

Hmm, yes I am impatient, it's one of my many flaws. I wonder why I was made so impatient though?

The statement and reasoning behind it was (ACADEMICALLY SPEAKING)- on a 250cc you can ride as fast on Pukekohe as you can do on a combination of Sh22 -( the Esses before Castrol,) Miranda Straights (Jennian and the Straights) and SH25 (the hairpin and the right hander after passing the pit entrance). -- but you can't on a big bike....... agree or disagree, I don't care either way.

I can guess who those 4 riders are whom you are talking about. One of them I respect and will from now on always behave when around him as he was completely justified in his comments and I was wrong. As for the others, they all suffer from the same "my ego is too big to move over syndrome".

It is NOT about ego, and you can add 3 more to the list now (thanks all for the support). You just don't get it, do you? It's not that you're passing people, it's how you do it and how you behave in a bunch.

You tell me - You said, and I quote: Yes, yes I'm still horribly clumsy I know........and very slow.......yes I am - I was miles behind everybody else

So what's you're excuse? If you were "miles behind everyone else" you wouldn't be in that situation of "impatience".
