And the best part about riding awesome roads like the Coro Loop is that you can never get enough of it and it only gets better and better the more you ride it and get to know it! Next time round i'm sure you'll get to take in more of the wonderful sights.Originally Posted by Postie
Glad you had a good virgin ride around the Loop Postie and got home safe n sound, despite having a leaking radiator!!![]()
duel compound i think. still a great tyre for a 400 machine, plenty of grip on the outside but still gonna last as i commute on them too.Originally Posted by sAsLEX

All i was thinking about last night is i wish that hill was closer to auckland, but then i guess we would all be going through tyres at a greater rate.

in a couple of weeks, I might arrange another run back that way, the long way to the coro town and back.. shame it's not closer
in all seriousness mate, when you caught up to us at the front before we got to clevedon, you were riding like a fool. Your not slow so you can quite with that bollocks now, but you joined the pack and we had a pace going, I was at the back, you over took me fine, no problems but then you over took Cibby with a car and trailer coming towards you, I don't think you noticed but the trailer had pretty wide mud guards and it missed your foot by about 6 inches, if you had clipped that, you would have taken out your self and Cibby and possibly myself, then you proceed to over take each bike till you are sat behind Zed again. Its not a race, there are no points and no winners. I'm not wanting to sling shit, but no body wants to see you crash and get injured and no body wants to be around if you take another biker with you. I'm glad your going to the manfield track day, cos like myself, I think you will learn alot. Don't take any of this the wrong way, just please be more courteous on group rides.Originally Posted by justsomeguy

Well, what can I say to that.....Sorry for making you guys feel uncomfortable.Originally Posted by Postie
I saw the mud guards on the trailer, the car was an early 90's dark brown mid-sized sedan, with a grey metal trailer. - the mudguards were a foot away from the centreline. Cibby was roughly 2-2.5 feet from the left edge of the road. I had 3-4 feet of space to pass through. Then I had the other side of the road as well once the car passed as there was about 100+ meters of clear space ahead. That car was travelling near the speed limit and you guys were doing about 14X ish...... so the chances of either of you'll changing lanes was nil, even if you did I would have passed by in the gap. So I went for it....... Should I have waited, perhaps yes. Did I think I was putting you or your lady in danger - no.
Yes I will behave myself from now on and only play around if I know the rider next to me wants to have a go too..... time and place eh.
It's been a long time since I let the devil inside come out and control my riding.....hopefully I've put some of my demons to rest and manage to take it easy from now on.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.
It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Only because at the pace you ride it's got to be a damn good rider to be 'slippin thru' past you.Originally Posted by DingDong
