It's just one of those days, where you don't wanna wake up,
    everything is fucked, everybody sucks,
You don't really know why but you wanna justify ripping someone's head off

You can still kind of make out the tread.... the steel thread's easier to see though

Was getting damn slippery thru Whangamata, once I got used to it sliding out thru the corners I started to have a bit of fun.... until it rained, then I was fucked!

Anyway, it might have slowed me down but it didn't ruin the day, cheers for organising it mate.

Left a bit late so got to Autobahn and everyone had gone, as expected. Thought...I'll go down 2 and catch them at Kopu. Ha! About a mile past Aitkenhead Timbers yard, on SH2, I thought....WTF is this wall of dust and debris sliding up the road to meet me! Hard on the picks and stop short of a truck and trailer that had flipped and totally blocked the road. On to the grass verge , stop by the cab and off. The driver was OK - totally in shock, but no physical injuries....looked like one of the airbags on the trailer suspension had deflated, and flipped the trailer over the armco and then hauled the truck over!. Was thinking - 10 secs further down the road and the thing would have taken me out!
Anyway - to Kopu and then up and over the hill, thinking I might see them at Whitianga. Hustling round to Coroglen and there they all are....At the Pub!Set off to Whitianga - seems some go to the gas station, some go on.......yes, the Moth club (Ithink) had a flyin at the airport, so heaps of biplanes around the place....but....I digress. Over to Coromandel for lunch....only the second time Ive done that hill...think I got the hang of it going down....sorry to anyone I may have pressured to get past.....
Leaving Coromandel, a bunch turned back towards Whitianga so....why not
A good pace to Whitianga, refuel, then Kiwifruit 2much and I take off and head for Whangamata. Great run over the hill, to the pub at Whanga...Eventually we head off to Waihi....clouds, drizzle..wet roads....Fuck!Just enough moisture for me to drop my speed in abject fear of a front wheel losein the tight and slipperies....Didnt seem to phase Tomuch though....he just fucked of into the distance, rooted rear Racetech and all...whats a few More wet slides to go with the dry sliding he had been doing all day!! The gorge from Waihi was wet, but at least we didnt get rained on. At Paeroa, Kiwifruit turned for Taupo and I headed for home....
A great day, good riding with Kfruit and 2much and the others and 560km clicked up. Good, I can get the 2nd service out of the way now.
