    2005 gn250 e riders....revs = ?kmh?

lost the speedo cable just this side of taihape....trying to match the revs with what i estimate to be a safe speed limit till it gets fixed and need to compare with other riders....

    3500-4000revs = roughly 50k? [4th gear]

    about 6000 revs = around 100/110k? [5th gear]

just tryin to keep it semi legal speed till wednesday...useless dealer said they had to get the part from a dealer in the south island...wtf?

also, since there no speedo, theres no k counter either...been stuck on around 4300k since last monday....when/if i part with the bike, do i need to state that, as obviously, it wont have an actual count of how many k's the bike has done?

I wouldn't worry about it, it's only a week and a half, you wont have lost enough K's to be significant or noticeable.

Many do this deliberately anyway. Only your ethics can tell you whether to mention or not.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Just ring the fuck out of it..... if any cop pulls you up for speeding on a GN, laugh at him.
It's just one of those days, where you don't wanna wake up,
    everything is fucked, everybody sucks,
You don't really know why but you wanna justify ripping someone's head off

Mine sits exactly on 6000RPM at 100km in 5th gear.

    Can't say I really remember 50 in 4th. I think I sit at 3500-4000 RPM at 60km in 4th.

I'll try remember to have a look at the city speed limit revs next time.

thanks all....damned bike shop keeps givin me excuses as to why the part isnt in yet....monday it will be 4 weeks! first i was told the part had to come from the south island, and got told the other day its coming in a container and the guys dont have "time" to look for a small part like mine. really beginning to piss me off.

very tempting to buy a junker off of tm and get them to put that bikes bits on mine, but thatd fuck the warranty. nearly due [or likely overdue!] for the 5000k service, but a month of no speedo, means no k's ticking over.

getting sick of chasing them up about it all the time....talk about freakin hopeless.
