    Harley-Davidson to open museum

Harley-Davidson is planning to open a museum in its hometown of Milwaukee.

The museum will feature motorcycles from the company's collection of more than 400. It includes Harley-Davidson's serial number 1 cycle from 1903 and Elvis Presley's 1956 Harley-Davidson KH motorcycle. Also on display will be posters, photographs, advertising, clothing, interactive exhibits and memorabilia.

Construction will start later this year and the museum is due to open in 2008.

    Pfft...

Nothing new there Bob, I just went to my local HD Museum, most big cities and towns have them.. Just don't look them up under M for museum, try D for dealer.. They had some wonderful exhibits of ancient bikes

I must confess to having similar thoughts!

Though in my case, I said they have a Living Museum... it is called "The Production Line"!

    ;o)

On the bright side, their owning and displaying Elvis' HD will hopefully mean those stupid stories about how someone has found this bike in a shed and there was a note under the saddle (or wherever) saying this was Elvis' bike will not finally be put to rest!
