I think the yanks did the same sort of thing in the Pacific - scared themselves. they lost a whole island and an atoll. I heard one of those "urban myths" that they thought they had started a chain reaction and it wasn't gonna stop, regardless it was a way bigger bang and went on for a lot longer than they thought. Scary shit, thank fuck we took out madman hussein before he got his hands on a few of those puppies.

it's a bit big (I think, i just downloaded it at work), but it's got some impressive photography and fireballs in it.

It also shows building and cars being blown away then sucked back up.
For those who don't know, atomic bombs or nukes (can't remember which) use oxygen as an accelerant, hence why they're so deadly. It's a bit like an air version of a tsunami where it blows out, then has to suck it all back to fill the void by all the air heading upwards. So the initial blast outwards causing devastation, then the vacuum clears it all to one neat little spot and vapourises it.. or something like that..

Dont you mean Hydrogen or Thermonuclear bombs cause atomic and nukes are the same thing.....and the accelerant is usually tritium or deuterium to make the big bang....but i stand to be corrected
