To be honest, I don't think it's the speed he's interested in..... Could possibly have something to do with wheelies though???

You guys put on quite a show for the cagers and me then Kiwifruit seemed to catch the bug, and he started poping them everywhere.

Wish I had taken the helmet cam along now, would have been some great footage!

I think I might have to introduce you guys to my friend the Waioeka Goerge, might even up the odds abit.

I thought I saw KF doing a bit of practice on the way through

    Helmet cam sounds clever

Is that the gorge around Optoki?

Been wanting to do that road since I went through a year or so ago in the cage. Some sweet corners in the gorge man.

Effortlessly popping them up at 150k's+???

And from what I understand, Death is a freak of nature and can't be used as an example of your average man.

    This is true.......

Never ridden a thou... so I can't comment on thier wheelie ability....

Saw you popping a few and was a little envious you being able to get it on the back wheel at high speeds.... Oh well....

I wouldnt say Deaths 150kph pulling it up on the 750 effortless, man that thing sitting on the limiter in 3rd and tryiing to snap the clip ons off as he yanks it up, that man needs a 1000cc

Bloody good ride guys, meet more than a few new faces, Lou, nice to meet ya finally, Beyond, heard the stories of some guy hussleing a GSX14 about, nice riding mate, KF, again good to finally meet you and r4q2, nice riding mate, and alll the others weasel, razzar(sp?) Finn and the rest, i knew i shouldn't of done the loop, but last minute, when the missus said she was working all day, got home at 1am from work, threw the front end back in the GSXR, bed at 3am back up at 8am and off for a wee play before i made my way to kopu.

I for one was pleased to see the roadworks up form Kopu, gonna be mint when it's finished in time for winter, man thats a crazy road in the wet i tell ya.

Shame not to catch up with 2much and Saul, next time eh.

Meet up with the fight club boys in coromandel and cruised off with them for a bit, i wouldn't of had time to go back through whitianga, i had work last night.

But yeah thanks for the company when i was stopped maybe catch you's out and about, the GSXR is going into race trim, so i'm not sure how much road riding i'll do for the time being?

    Later
GSXR wiping the shit that is that Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki off the road since '85'

Nah mate, I was talking about the ability to do that on a thou, not death doing it.

Never meet Death or seen him in action, but fuck me! if he can do that at 150k's on a 750?? That's damn impressive, he'ld do some serious damage with a 1000.

That was a bloody good ride, good to meet some of you finally. Thanks to beyond for showing what naked bikes can do
No thanks to the tosser heading up the hill before Coro, stuffed up the first three corners and then got worse. (Me)
Luckily I got all the rest reasonably right, the shiny bits stayed upright.
I've got to get rid of these Macadams, a new set of Z6's is waiting to go on.
Finn and I went back through Thames, there was a bit of gravel around but it wasn't too bad.
    Speed doesn't kill people.
    Stupidity kills people.

Was good catching up with you Lou.
I like your Bandit. It's a real nice looking machine.

Yep, some days ya riding can be spot on and for some reason turn to crap on a few corners. We all get that from time to time. But, I reckon you rode very well. We both know our bikes are no light weights either but they go real well when pushed considering.

I really have to work on my ground clearance issues. My side stand, front edge on the pavement foot, is half worn away along with the foot peg bolts. Some time I might get some 330mm Hagon rear schocks which jack things up a bit to get some more ground clearance.

I think you will like Metzler Z6's. They hang on real well. Not as good wear rates as the Michelin Pilot Roads but they should be good to you.
