Lightbulb Cambridge To Hamilton Child Cancer Toy Run

    Date: 19 March 2006
    ***Meet: Cobham Drive Caltex Garage
    ***After-meet: Momentum's house in Glenview***
*****I will be at the Caltex at 8:30 to drink coffee, so be there just before 9:00am, so we can leave at 9:10am*****

Ok, I had a chat to QUASiEVIL about this the other day... and he was planning on doing this thread, but he's taking too long

Most people probably know about the Cambridge to Hamilton Child Cancer Toy Run, which is said to be "the biggest turn out of public support that you will ever see on a bike run." I know there's a lot of Hamilton KB's, and this would be a great event to 'take over' so to speak. Instead of individual KB's going to the event, we should all go as a group (get some good publicity )

The rider briefing starts at 10:30am, but have been suggested to get there @ 9:30am, so get to the Caltex garage on Cobham Drive, Hillcrest just before 9:00am, as we will be leaving at 9:10am.

    Thanks, Rob

hence why going in a group is a good idea...
BlackBird: PM me your mobile number and I'll phone/text you wherever we decide to 'park up' in Cambridge on the day...or something like that?

Well, today I've learnt quite a bit on these forums (the forum itself and the information posted). I learnt how to do the poll thread, and a calender thread. I just made the calender 'attending event', so u can tick that one as well if you want...

Anyway, so there's 3 of us so far: Quasievil, Warr, and me... hoping to get more of a group together... Blackbird and one of his mates will try meet up with us in Cambridge, and I'm hoping the Auckland KB's will also join up at Cambridge.

Anyway, enough rambling for now... *wonders off to watch something*

More importantly, where are we going AFTERWARDS?!?!?!?!

The Eastside pub does very good meals and has a fairly decent garden bar area as well as big screens with plenty of sport on them.

Thanks... that's a good point... no, I hadn't forgotten that bit. Well, if no one has a problem with Eastside pub, we can hit that after the run.

That also sounds like a good idea... um... I guess that will have to go to a vote... I'm keen for anything... the main thing is that how many people can your place support?

Doesn't your dad ride as well?? Just checking, but he's well aware that he'll be looking at 30+ bikers who will want a beer right??
