    Now that is random

people posting pictures of their cats on a biker forum, now that's random...

Meh. Why not, I adopted this stray his name is Bert and vet reckons his about a year old, cats rule and this fella weight 5 times that of WINJAS dog. He attacks my dog which gives him mean street cred after all my dogs name is Sid Vicious hes a doberman and weights in at about 58kgs..
I found out the best form of entertainment when all you have is a cicada and a cat yesterday... you pick the bug up by pinching its wings on its back and its legs flail about, place the bug on cats nose and watch for great entertainment....

Jesus - what is the matter with you lot. My dog hates cats and I agree with him. Useless freeloaders who are allowed to run free, shit in your garden, eat native birds, and be a traffic hazard

Cats should have to comply to the same rules as dogs and be confined to your section. The cat owner should be fined the same $300 I would get if my dog was running free.

That's because dogs are slobbering, leg-humping morons that piss everyone off.
Cats however, play hard to get.

Damn right, I've got 11 neighbours and I'm sick of the the bloody things digging up the the garden to crap in in it, crapping on the lawns, and going into the garage and pissing on everything.

Here's one you can have if you like though ...

Its in place overseas - got some Scottish friends who live in Mt Eden now who modified their fencing so the moggy couldn't escape before they knew they could let the cat shit in the neighbours sandpit if they wanted.

Both dogs and cats should be restricted.

Why can't I walk my dog on the beach because it may disturb the Dotterals nesting there when the local cats have free range to eat the chicks day and night?

Why must I pick up my dogs turds while cats are free to shit in the sand pit where the kids play?

Why is the neighbours tom cat free to attack any pet on my property, but if my dog got out and ate the tom cat it would be put down?

The question should be why do cats have free range when no other form of pet does....

You cant tell me your that ignorant, why should I have to pay more taxes if I earn more. come on man I agree with you in some ways, Dogs should be allowed to walk around w/o a lead if they are within 100meters of their owner and the owner knows where they are at all times. I used to take my dog to the park across the road now I have to drive 10mins for the closest off leash park next to the zoo which is muddy as fuck it sucks. But just because my dog cant I don't think my cat should... when was the last time you heard some body being mauled by a cat? OK so cats sometimes take a swipe but lack the equipment necessary to do the same damage as my 58kg doberman which is less likely to attack you than a lab... My dog would never bite anybody, there was a guy at mangawhai who hit him. Just some random guy and my dog shock horror didn't bite him he cowered in the corner.

Lets not say cats should be restricted because thats fucking lame, lets say the dog laws should be reviewd.

We are in agreement about the need to protect people from dog attacks, and I agree that there is no risk from a cat attack on people. I have no real arguement with dog leash laws in relation to people

However I do object to cats shitting on my property, such as in my vege garden, or in the kids sandpit - this is just as much of a health risk as dog shit.

And I can't see the logic of banning dogs from beachs or places such as the Waitaks to protect wildlife when the local pet cats have free range. My dog cant climb trees..

That guy who hit your Doberman is an arsehole, by the way
