    New job at last...

Well for those of ya in the know who've been telling me for months to find a new job... well I have

Resigned from the old company last Wednesday and been working for the new company since last Wednesday... and I finally got the title I wanted too... "Manager" yay!

Anywho the final straw was not being paid for 5 weeks... and I'm not even going to see a cent of it Also found out now and helping with investigations against the old company about how they have being doing tax fraud (GST + PAYE). Also how they have used two other companies names to con clients into certain things leaving those two other companies hundreds of thousands in debt and they didn't even know about it until yesterday. And there is a shit load more dodgy stuff we are finding out everyday...

Looks like they are going to be doing a runner to Aussie to try to get away from it... bastards...

    Anyway...

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Congrats P/F, hope it's an improvement on the previous position. It sure sounds as though (from the limited info at my disposal) the old one was decidedly average, so as Buggy said, onwards and upwards!

Investment advice eh? Well, since I'd need money to invest, and since I'm tens of thousands in debt for all the wrong reasons, and am royally owned for at least another decade (and I don't even have a mortgage)... I don't think I'll be requiring investment advice sadly. I wouldn't say no if a lot of money just suddenly appeared somewhere for me, it would go a long way to solving my problems.

    . . .

Ah, so that's that solution eh?

    Cool

Congratulations on the new job mate... well done...

And here they (the old company) were gonna send you over to Aussie to help set up a branch there... etc. You have to wonder what all that was about.. a very lucky escape....

You must be able to take them to some sort of court to claim your wages that are owed to you... You had to pay rent and other bills over the last 5 weeks.

PS: have you sorted out ya hot mail addy for me yet...
You have incoming mail tomorrow morning...

Good shit PF. It's my turn now...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

I started a contract job at Massey last week and on the first day (Thursday) got introduced to their weekly custom - the cake bake-off! Each week someone different is nominated to bake a cake and everyone votes on the appearance, texture, taste and icing! Whoever bakes the one voted best at the end gets a prize.

I'm down for June 8. Last week it was a chocolate cheesecake, this week a chocolate cake with a yummy icing. Now that's MY kind of work place!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

    Thanks all

Yeah the new job is good... the old job is a gonner... involved right now with legal investigations against them for GST and PAYE fraud, also scamming clients into buying property they couldn't afford resulting in them loosing thier homes... and putting other companies names and logos in legal documents rendering them to debt of 100,000's without them even knowing...

Unfortunatley they are claiming bankrupcy (sp) and liquidation (sp) so I doubt I'll see any of my money... but I enjoyed sitting at my new bosses penthouse apartment on Wednesday night watching one of my old managers (who lives on the 4th floor in the same building as my new boss) and watching his BMW being repossed while he sat there swearing at the guys we were sitting on the penthouse deck drinking bourbons and coke laughing at him...

They will get thier dues... one way or the way... as they say... karma is a bitch

    But anyway...

The investment thing is in regards to property investment and tax saving stratagies, for us to help you, you would need to be a working homeowner

    Anyway...

Well, I don't really get a choice... my case has been reported to the Labour Tribunal, along with about 25 other staff members with the same proble, and they have done sweet fuck all about it... Another bunch of ex-co-workers have reported my old company to Fair Go, but they havn't said they would be airing anything on TV about it.

They go by 4 different names when dealing with clients... and I'd love to warn you all about them but apparantly if I do that it is deflamation (sp) or something, because I am now working for a cmopany that does similar work... so I've been warned not to say anything bad about them...

    Enjoy yer new job..
Know the feeling. Flew for a bunch of crooks for a couple of years, was bonded on the type (50 grand). We were contracted to a very famous NZer and these crooks did some terrible acts that I can't discuss. Couldn't stand the direction it was headed so I saw my bond out and thankfully resigned. The day I resigned they served me with essentially a silencing order to stop me discussing the true reason for my departure (safety concerns) with the client who was naturally asking questions as to why his pilot was suddenly leaving.
There are busines's out there that only survive because they are just plain dodgey and the tragic thing is they are generally smart/arrogant enough to just keep their dodgey dealings out of the public attention.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

That will be even more entertainment for you; running to hide in Aussie from tax fraud charges - they may as well just walk into the crown prosecuter's office.

A real bugger losing 5 weeks pay, but at least (it seems) you can see a bit of humour in it all.
ACC - It's where the Enron accountants all went.
