Hmmm... interested, but unhappy about the 'good guys n girls' that wont attend due to the half wits that occupy KB these days.
I'll keep an eye on the thread.

BTW any one interested in a Si rally like Oldrider mentined?
    cheers DD

That really worries me, I don't particularly want to go to a rally, where I don't know anyone, and possibly don't get along with anyone there either.

I think an idea would be to organise, through the long process of suggestions and votes, a suitable venue and date, and then all interested parties should add their name to the list. That way people who are undecided can see who is going, and hopefully see friendly faces and add their name to the list. There will always be new people, and like I said I think that's a good thing. Every rider I've ever met (seriously), and especially KB ones, are friendly people. And as we know, often a persons internet personality is vastly different to their normal, or person to person one.

At the last rally, I met people I didn't know in person, but knew from the site, and it makes reading posts in the future easier to understand, or more personal. I think to move forward, or lighten the mood, a rally with lots of new faces and all the "old" faces, is a great idea.

As for the location, I think it's normal to assume that if it's held in the North Island, most interested members in the South Island wouldn't / couldn't make it, and vice versa. For me personally, regardless of where it's held, I would either make a long weekend of a Nth. Isl. one, or a short holiday (1 or 2 weeks) if it were a Sth. Isl. one (I'm planning to do a Sth. Isl. trip anyway).

I think that it would be a Nth. Isl. rally, as I remember from the last one that the majority of attendees were from the Nth. (it might be nice to drive on new, S.I. roads. N.I. roads are getting "old")

Eitherway, no point harping over politics or grudges, best to forget and look forward to another great rally!

I hear ya about some less desirable members, bt just think what fun it will be to watch them get taken down a peg or two, and see that the bad arse shit stirrer is a pimple faced 16 year old lol, hey any trouble makers on the site wouldnt dare show up mate, I can always give them a long way round map to use so they arrive to late anyway, Im a bastard like that.

Im keen , Stonechucker is bang on as above, it is a great atmosphere and everyone enjoys themselves. Dont flag it for fear of meeting people you dont like mate, get into it.
I usually post the names of paid attendees anyway so you can always change your mind eh.

Right now we need a DATE, whats this cold duck thing, somone post the details in events please so I can see what ya on about.

I also need a couple of event coordinators, need to be imaginative,as well as loud enough to get attention of everyone.

This time we need some daylight hours to run some events outside.

other than that it will be a piece of piss
Ive run out of fucks to give

They just take a fixed number of bikes (last time i did this) so you can't quite take it over.

Up side, you can get a group discount for more than 10 which is nice. You used to get a particular person you would all book / pay and a trip number to quote to them to save anyone having to hold all the dosh.

Down side... Running a trip for that many people all together is bound to end in tears!

Cold Duck is yearly event held near Waipawa every May. It's at the CHBMC 'hq'. Goes all weekend like the Cold Kiwi does near Waiouru in August BUT not so cold as a rule and better facilities. Is run similar to the One Night Stand at Havelock North last month
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Thumbs up

I'd be keen as a keen thing - sorry I'm so waaaay behind the 8 ball on this but I just caught up with SC last night and he said that there was discussion about another rally. I missed last years due to study commitments but I'm sure Betty & I can make it along this year.
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

I dont think you will get much trouble from those sorts, most of them are too cowardly to come out from behind their PCs. Anybody who spends the time, effort and $$ to get to a rally is prolly reasonable sort.
And as you say, any stirrers will be well out-numbered.
