If it is the vacuum line as the motor picks up REVs the vacuum opens the fuel flow up by opening the diaphragm in the fuel tap.On the old GPX250 i had if the vacuum pipe came off the tap the motor would not REVOriginally Posted by steved

Yup stops fuel coming from the tank and flooding carbs and engine when the engines not running - like the old fuel tap. Don't forget to connect it if you take your tank off....
I love the smell of twin V16's in the morning..
