    is a crashed 2005 cbr1000rr worth much?

got a mate who took a honda CBR1000rr fireblade for a test ride and binned it. Writing the cheque for the bike while it sat at the bottom of a ravine apparently sucked quite a bit. i will try and get some photos, its a right off apparently. he just after re-couping some of his money.

but if anybody is interested in buying the carcass - pm me and i can pass on interested parties details.

private test ride? shouldn't a companies insurance cover the costs and you only have to pay the excess at most?

Do you know any engineers who might be able to make up a frame? I have a spare turbo in my room from a 2 litre skyline which should do the trick

it was a private sale. the bike had under 1500km's on the clock.

i'm not mentioning names or places. but what he told me was he went down at 85k. possibly slippery road. the bike highsided, jumped, landed, bounced off the road and down the side of a bank.

mate was okayish, although spent a day or two in hospital as he was fully geared up bar a pair of jeans which the road ate through as he slid along it.

so apart from some pride, a small limp and a seriously dented wallet - he'll be fine.

i have one offer on the table already. will see if i can get pics soon.
    gone.

WE would know a bit, but are you really going to go taking a cart out to 200? And if in doubt add more weld!

If it's from a single turbo setup, I suspect the resulting power curve would be seriously peaky. If it's from a TT setup it's going to choke the motor's top end.

Wrong brand man thats Suzukis because they and the owners ditch them and go buy a Honda! he was going fast, you can on a Honda with out it blowing up, Suzukis blow up. perfect example RG150, we have wrecked quitew a few as they are hand grenades!
