I'm not sure if anyone will see this in time however I probably wont be able to make the ride today. While out at Arkles Bay with Poo's and co my gloves managed to go walking from the table where my helmet was on top of them. When I went to leave my helmet had been placed on the ground and my gloves gone.

    Fucken Yay.

Now that Swanny is not coming, we're gonna have to rely on you for direction. I know the way till Wellsford, from there on I'll have to figure it out. There will be a newbie with us so I'm sorry if we hold you up a little bit.

But on the other hand it'll be a little RR family, two baby RR's and your adult sized RR

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

Cheers for the offer dude. Managed to get my gloves back so its all good.

I'll just have to wait until tomorrow to check out these Northern Roads and to punch John, or rape him, I haven't quite decided yet.

WOW!!! Awesome ride, awesome roads and awesome company.

    THANKS CANVAS MAN!!!

Great to see all the old faces again and meet you for the first time Duc Girl.

TL Rider I'm sorry my condom broke with all the force created riding with you. If I had a stronger condom I would of certainly been a happier fellow today.

The trip back was good. 100 in the wet and 100 in the dry so the leathers are relatively blow dried.

Can't be farked typing more as I'm off to see a movie.

Oh and Duckaddict for a guy who's been riding for 25 years you ride like shit :eyepoke: Even on your Hayabusa I could pass you on the outside

    Today's ride was something...

...for me at least, it was great fun!! Nice twisties, sceneries, food, and a 2000 year old tree as big as my ex-wife's bum

But I think what made it all the better was the company (you know who you are), no doubt about it, thank you.

Thanks for the wait at every junction and the vote of confidence (hope the wait wasn't too long, I need more practice).

I have never ridden a bike for so many hours in a day - 8.00am to 6.45pm! Wow! and it was the fastest I've ever been on a bike, anyway...

...now I'm all sore, but satisfied.

    cheers!

Thanks guys for the post ride comments. We all had an awsome day, did anyone set their speedo at all? From Whg down to Paparoa (for us Nthrn crew), up to Mangatapere, through the centre Maungakahia Rd to twin bridges and onto Kaikohe, over to Rawene for lunch, down through the forest to Baylys Beach then home, we must have done at least 400-450kms.
The weather was overcast all day but peerrrrrrrrrrrrfect for riding. We got to Rawene and stopped for lunch. The plan was from there to possibly go up to Kaitaia through the Mungumuka George, but we could see the rain coming through and was starting to threaten the return home, so we decided to make a run for it. BUT WAIT, HERE COMES JustSomeGuy Condom ManDUDE We werent even going to get wet!!! But you gave us a really good giggle.
It was a great day and the pace was pretty darn good all day. The ride through the forest was excellent (finally got my Mojo back after thinking it was lost all day) . Really enjoyed your company on and off the road Duckaddict (must be something about ducks?) you did really well and just goes to show doesnt matter if your riding a 250cc whatever it is you ride or a 1000cc TL like mine, people can still enjoy a serious ride together, hope to see you up this way again soon.
Zed, Mate, your a ledgend, Im in awe of your riding. And glad you have joined us in enjoying our roads yet again.
Thanks TL Rider for organising a great day. Justsomeguy you do need to learn a few things, first time I've ridden with you, but you didnt give me cause to want to hurt you on this occassion personally, so thats a great start given all I've read about you
Looking forward to the next Northern Ride, seems to be a strong KB rider following developing up here.

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

Didn't want to do the rest of the ride wet...... didn't have much of a choice in the end as the wind tore the suit to bits as you saw.

Yeah, don't believe all you read, some of it is over hyped bullshit from people playing chinese whispers.

Did over cook it in a couple of corners and fell off the powerband.

Only had one scary moment on the gravel. I was carrying too much speed and had to hold on until the bike slowed down while the back kept weaving around.

Hey when you were following me near the end of the day I remember almost jumping over a bump in the road, did the tyres actually leave the road or was it just one big wobble?
