Good place to ask (just in case anyone is upgrading).

They're a pretty competent wee machine and ideal as a first bike - Mrs P has one. It does nicely enough with her on it, not my bloated self and DAMN are they cheap to run!! 90MPGish.

Good luck - if you see a good'un snap it up, they sell quick!

Welcome to the site too BTW!

Oh, if you do get one and it's still got the stock tyres on it, change 'em for some decent rubber...the stock rubber is nasty, that, and leave enough over for lotsa good gear!

do you think though coz he lives out in the hills and also goes on long 200-300km trips that the engine would be in sweet condition? thats a long way for a wee bike.
    Thanks

Naw, engines are only made to do one thing. Longer trips are better for a motor than short ones. Running the motor from cold is when all the damage is done. That's pretty much why taxi motors last so long. I get the impression its been run hard, but it'll take a flogging for years before it blows up. Its bugger all coin, have a look and some others and compare.
