    LTNZ *mutter*

Shiny new Full license was waiting for me in the mail when I got home from work tonight. Ripped it open, feeling happy thoughts.

Then I notice its still a "Learner" license.. Colouring, words etc all indicate its a learners license.. Some mistake I think.. But no it shows my full class 6 down the bottom.. Apparently because I only have a learners cage license I only get a learners license, despite having a full class 6..

Someone definitly needs a kicking for that logic I tells ya. I wonder if I can lay a discrimination complaint :-P

My partner is in the situation of 1F and 6L. She got all excited, got a bike learners, decided it wasn't her kick and she'll never ride a bike again probably. Which means she'll never bother getting a restricted or full. So even though she's in her 30s, had a full car for years, she'll forever have a learner looking license.

Guy on the rental car desk in Brisbane did a double-take and had to have it carefully explained to him before allowing her to drive the rental car.

Yep - Happens when you have a full car licence and get your Motorbike learners as well - they colour it to the lowest qualification

Yup. Treaty of waitangi. You have been abused at birth, your taniwha is disabled and a drug addict, etc, etc...

I can't wait till I can do more than 70kph, I wonder what it'll be like travelling at such a speed? I wonder if my bike could go that fast?
    Because I can...

Now that you have downgraded to a Suzuki I doubt it

The killer is though, even though I cant legally ride my bike anyways, I cant ride after 10, which is a shitty bulshit rule as I am a wee bit past having a curfew, would be an expensive and point heavy night if I got pulled by a copper at night!

Hmm, sort of like motorbike rider get angry when they see cops????

The colour of the licence has never got ME too excited and most others know the score regarding licence colours.

I did only say SOME and was from personal experience, but that guy was a twat got rather angry at me when I quoted legislation exactly when he asked me a question over the loudness of my cage at the time, then procedded to jam his foot on top of mine and on to the accellerator to make the car over-rev somehow trying to prove that it was too loud, wankers like this make it hard to think nicely of cops

I had the reverse situation when I was 16/17 yrs old. I had 1F 6L.

Newbie cop got confused. One was particularly happy to have pulled me over in my car (A ~25 year old mitsubishi galant in near showroom condition.. I miss it..) with.. passengers! I let the cop go through HEAPS of radio chatter, start writing the ticket, it was all good till my passenger piped up "Hey (name), I thought you had a full car licence" at which point I had to answer "Ben, mate, I do".

Ahh... The look on his face...

We were crying with laughter at the poor copper. Not in his face mine you.

Still, I imagine he learnt his lesson.
