I've never come across this until this afternoon, but I'll share it with you guys too anyway. I don't know how common this one is....

There was a Learner in a Driving Lesson car with an instructor. I was in a Quay Street parking lot, mind you....so I suppose it is not a public road?
But nevertheless, the instructor calmly muttered a few words, and suddenly I realized that my bike and the car are looking eye-to-eye in a single lane.
A quick check that I was in the left lane confirmed my suspicions. Then the car proceeded coming closer and closer and closer.....grab my brake and put the bike to a stop, then the car calmly and innocently turned left to park.
Saw the instructor gave a smile to the learner and congratulate on a parking maneouvre welldone........

So, I suppose it is ok to teach learner the useful tips then: take the opposite lane to make parking on left a bit easier, and don't worry about incoming vehicle.

I wonder why I didn't get that tips from my driving instructor before......

So this equates to Qty: 2 uppercuts and Qty: 1 Mirrorectomy then.

Ahh yes - a pet hate of mine. Why is it people think their cages are so long that they have to swing wide before making the turn. Do they really think their rear axel is going to mount the curb?

seen a couple of beauties today....guy in a station wagon...followed him for about 10 mins, taking in one rather busy "main" road, 2 roundabouts and a bridge. station wagon didnt slow down coming up to or leaving the bridge. didnt even slow down. the first side wasnt overly busy, but other side had cars on all sides. he was lucky everyone was stopped at the time.

waiting at a giveway first side of the bridge, going straight through. see a car to my right start to move, so i stay stopped. older driver. bugger me if he doesnt come to a stop in the middle of roundabout and look down the "main" road to see if theres any cars. good grief! some people should totally not have their licenses! its nuts. they need to make it harder.

Ha, if the car is lowered I can probably pop my front up a bit and ride over them........Unfortunately, they were on some sort of sedan on standard ride height
It's rather hard to do mirrorectomy from head-on trajectory, I figure

I was going to go and tell the bloody instructor about how I feel his driving lessons are, but my wifey (who was on the back seat) wants be to be a rather nice guy today......

Yesterday (thursday) here in Tauranga during rush hour traffic. My lane was clear with maybe one or two cars coming my way. Other side was packed all doin speedlimit (50k) so not really stand still but no roomto cross. This idiot in a white shitter something or other comes out of a sidestreet doesn't even touch the brakes for the giveway and proceeds to barge right across the road to the other side. Lucky for him the cars on the other side saw him coming so could stop before hitting him though the tyres did squeal at the abuse.

Would have followed the dick to give him a box around the ears but was in a hurry to get to the pub.

Take it. Then the majority of them will stop pretending they don't want to be JAFAs anyway.

I said... I just needed to rant, I don't expect it to get better. Although I would like gaps I'm in, to not close, that was the only hairy one.
