XBox 360 - First Impression

I got my XBox360 on Thursday

and the missus allowed me to buy 1 game.

First impression? It looks cool.......almost Apple-like

Second impression? The game was cool. I got PGR3 racing game, and the graphics is an improvement compared to XBox. Wasn't too much of an improvement though, but I guess it's because I was playing it in my old 14" TV. Framerate is amazing, and the world detail (spectators etc) is much richer than any XBox games. Can't wait until they release more games that I like.
I'm hoping to try it on my sist-in-law 29" TV this weekend...

Third impression? ermm....SUCK! it won't play my old Xbox game. A bit of digging on the Internet gave me a downloaded emulator that I installed. It allows only 200 games, which only ONE of them I owned....In other words? The rest of the games I own cannot be played......yet..........they are talking about continously adding games to the list of playable ones, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Fourth impression? Double-SHUCKS......Tried Forza Motorsports Xbox game on the 360 with the Emulator, and it runs with less framerate that on the original XBox. It is still playable, but the framerate reminds me of more like Playstation (one) framerate.........Oh well, beggars can't be choosers, I guess.

Damn...Now I regret selling my XBox to finance this one........I can't even play the Beach Volleyball skimpy-clad women thingy anymore..........

So, if you're thinking of buying Xbox360, that's my 2c.

Thanks mate... I was looking at getting one, but decided that I spend enough time on KB, my bike and at work. Miss Sniper wants to see me sometimes.

Might be strange considering it comes from my fingers, but Yes that is a good choice.

Who knows, the price might just drop to $550 in the not-so-distant future. Or, at least wait until there are more game selections around.

Give it 18 months, the price will be hovering around the old XBOX price. Remember, they have to stay competitive

Meh. None of the current games for it interest me at the moment. But in November there is a game being released for it that I have been waiting for for some time now.

That is when I'll be getting one.

Only 1 Arcade race to go: the last one in Nurburgring.
The others and Career mode are all done.

Only that one last race...........

........now I lost all the savegames as they were on the xbox that I sold.
