Could look at using the road from Coroglen to Tapu instead of the Kopu Hikuai road if it Has not yet been fixed up

Apparently the Kopu-Hukiaus is still poked. Okay when it's dry and water truck hasn't been over it, but last time the water truck had been and it was straight out mud and lime. No good for the metal parts

Coroglen to Tapu all sealed now then?? That'll be a novelty if its seal.

Hmm may be keen... the Kopu Hikuai road should be sealed by then

Fuck going over the Coroglen/Tapu road, 30 odd kms of metal road and crazy cunts in 4wds is not for me, we'll go through Coro and meet you on teh other side tho

Yeah, I don't actually mind riding in gravel if I have too, but the dust gets in everywhere (you no where). Much prefer the seal for cornering etc. and yep, the 4wd's are a menace on gravel roads. Apart from trying to runya off the road, they think tossing handfuls of small stones at ya is a good trick too.

Depending on my situation at the time, I may come along as it appears the route will be interesting.

Tapu Coroglen OK for the trailies but scary on da Busa. If the road works are still bad on the Kopu Hikuai then we will just have to go to coromandel. Oh well life could be worse..
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Well, the Kopu Hikuias roadworks are only a couple of k's so it's no big deal. Get a hell of a lot less filthy then doing 20-30kms on gravel road. If the Kopu Hikuias have been water trucked, can just go real slow for those couple of k's. After all, the rest of the road is still might fine for riding.
