Great day for a ride yesterday!! Cheers Steve for organising.... (I really like your bike too, good choice!!) Had other commitments that I got out of to ride yesterday...hence meeting you at Tairua and leaving at Coroglen and doing the rest of the ride with Peripheral, who had to be home early too. Done the loop four times now, but this was the time first anti-clockwise... I prefer it this way, especially Whitianga - Coromandel.

Thanks Paul for the later start, otherwise I wouldn't have gone yesterday. Good to ride with you to Tairua, MLCrisis.

So Peripheral, did you decide to go home via the Hunua Gorge, or did you miss the turnoff to Clevedon? I waited for a short while..

Hope everyone had the hell time that I had, its fair to say that was the most concentration I have ever put in, in getting those lines and the speed right, and what a great crew we had today!

    Any pics?
Saw you at Kopu Blairos, ahead of the group I thought... did you miss the right turn, to Coromandel? Caught up with you in the twisties near Coromandel.... good lines for someone so new and never done the loop before. I turned round and did that section twice!! Just took one photo, and your bike happens to be in the foreground!!

But of course, I don't get lost!!!! Actually I hadn't been that way before so didn't know which was the correct turnoff to take. And damn that gorge was slooooooow, stuck behind a couple of cars one obviously on a sunday drive and no where to pass them.

You'd better lead through there next time.

Thanks everyone else for the good day. First time around the larger loop, it's all good. As Leong mentioned, had to get back early so didn't stop at coro.

    Till the next one

Great ride & great company on a nice day..! Thanks to you all for your pleasant company & Cheers Steve.
Big ups to Blairos for doing his first loop (very proficiently) with only 2000 kays under his belt (ever).
Goblin you are living proof that keeping it smooothe keeps you fast in the twisties..
Mark, 3 more trips around the Coro loop should just about see that front tyre just scuffed in and ready to ride.! (gidday Olivier nice to see ya again).
That Speed triple is an awesome machine eh though not much room for luggage not even for Steves sweaty winter Jocks that ended up simmering under the "Hump" on my bike for the rest of the day (contaminating my pucture repair kit) though I did notice it had enough room for at least 1 tube of roid cream (oh yeah and where did Kornholio get to).
Could never get sick of Coro Loop though I do like the idea of new territory..!
