Some cow on Ponsonby road totalled my old vespa a couple of years back,
witnesses (who never thought to take her registration) said they saw a woman in a silver range rover back into the vespa, it rolled about 3 times.
The woman apparently got out of her rich bitch mobile, picked up the bike and leant it against a lamppost, put all the broken bits inside my helmet which (was also damaged), got back into the range rover and cleared off without leaving a note.

I was left with an almost written off vespa, couldn't even ride it home cos it had no levers left.

    nice lady

A mate of mine was hit from behind at the lights in Hamilton years ago while riding his GT750 Duke,Was only a small hit but wrote the bike off.His Mrs ended up on the car bonnet. He was lucky the car drivers insurance payed out with out the drama's we get today.I also recived a small tap from behind by a Big Maori guy.He was cool and followed me to Colemans Suzuki and payed for the new tail light lense on the spot. Now days it's just another one of those things I watch out for.Not even worth getting pissed off anymore.

Hows this for De Ja Vu.
A few years ago I was at work reading a joke book, shift over so I lock up, mark where I was up to and let myself out. Get to the car and there is a enormous dent in the rear drivers side door and a note on the windscreen.

It read " I just wrote this so people would think i was leaving a note, ergo not take rego details. "

I get home and try to relax and forget about it second or third joke in guess what the next joke was?

I guess the other driver has "The Serious Joke Book", By George Coote, as well.

A guy I worked with in Christchurch got hit from behind at the lights. When he managed to prise the cars boot open, he took out his shotgun and put 3 rounds into the car that hit him!

....then he went off and admitted himself to Hanmer Springs

Only time I was shunted in the rear was by my then girlfriend (both on bikes) - I slowed for an intersection and she thought I was going straight through, but as there was a car coming I waited, and whammo, I ended up nearly in front of the car. A bit of damage mainly to my bike, a bit tense as we hadn't been going out long but shit happens. I never did like the idea of my missus on a bike but.....no offence to the other fairer sex bikers out there.

Would have thought that you would want to take her up the arse and not the other way around.

There used to be an amusing clip circulating various sites about a year ago with a dude stoppying up to the lights before dropping it on the comedown and landing on his mate and the other dude at the lights. Dammage not clear but two GSXR1000s and one 'busa were laying side by side with two very pissed off looking owners in no hurry to help up the offender.

Never - because your insurance company will refuse to pay out if you admit liability.

I spoke to him on the phone and he was alright but just a bit shaken and sore from the experience.

BabyB, are you comming to the track on the 23rd or is it just your bike thats comming? (I know, I know, I should really stop being rude and going off topic).

Both cars are written off -
The drivers excuse was " ohh I'm sorry I diddn't see you"
I hunted high and low for my bike but nope I was driving a bloody big car.
Jeysuz -if cage drivers don't see other cages on the roads what chance do we stand??
I know it wasn't your fault but...how long have you been driving on NZ roads for? Seems your oblivious to the fact that this happens every day.

Probably a Canadian import. It's a K3 but first registered in NZ this year. We saw one in the Hastings area over Easter weekend.
