Unless membership is limited somehow (which is bad as it becomes exclusive and elitist and growth becomes nonexistant) the site has to go with the flow.
I'd not want to discourage new members. But those that gravitate here of their own accord generally have a lot to contribute over a longer period of time. Having a lot of people just wander in and do whatever would mean the place will turn into a summer camp site. Leave it to the locals most of the year then come in and piss everyone off every now and then. It gets bad enough sometimes with the bitch fights that seem to occur now and then (Although it has been quiet lately)
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

And this is why I sojourn here
    Alone and palely loitering,
Though the sedge is withered from the lake,
    And no birds sing.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be. But if you don't ride a 250, haven't abused someone personally and then feigned surprise when the other person takes it personally, or don't blat round with a complete, and I mean complete, disregard for common sense and NZ law your opinion is worth squat on KB right now.

I doubt that more people will make it any better.
