Was contemplating the alferedton way myself. Have to watch for random tractors though, nearly went up the back of one around a blind corner last time. Could also do the water tower road in reverse, but this would probably be a little too long a day in the saddle?

Mikey-sorry looks like she is coming along at this stage. You managed then with only one footpeg and stuck in second gear though so shouldnt be to much of a prob

Sels1-would probably be more like 930 for the kapiti crew (depends if we do paikak hill road), but sounds good to me. The first mobil as you come into pram right?
Blacksheep-How about you meet us in Shannon? Id give it say, three quarters of an hour from pram to get there so about quarter past ten would do it, but pm me your cell and I can tell ya when we leave
hey vasaline just be aware back road between levin, shannon they have just ripped up about 200 meters of road by heatherlea east road they are raising the road 1.2 meters its pretty deep base at present .. just to be aware when your approaching the roadworks as you come around a slight bend and presto its there

its currently the northern track they have done .. southern still there .. for a day or so

I'm shuddering at the thought of doing those boring straights from Masterton to Featherston at 1oo, yikes.
Count me in for the water tower road backwards. I take it we would gas up at that mobil on the corner, then shoot out towards castle point, but then take that right a few km's out of Masterton and go up that hill with the orgasmic sweepers? That road rocks lol and it leads to the top of the Water towers, sweet.
Then we could scoot towards martinborough and cut back into featherston, unless we are all game for the rollar coaster road hehehe
It's gotta be better than those straights, with plenty of flowing corners to relieve those tender cheeks

Chanceyy, Thanks for the heads up!

Yep, I live on rural roads not dissimilar to Alfredon, I assure you, you need to be prepared for that sort of thing on all rural roads, along with the usual stock movements. I save my full on fun only for the fully viewable expanses of tarmac. I'm not trying to just a comment

And, I can now boast I've crawled my way up to highway biker yay

    That's great, VW proposed Sunday.

That is, a spin on Sunday.

Not that he proposed to get married on Sunday.

    That would be different.

Yes, I would like to take some stock. Do you have an HRC ignition system for an NC35? How about some clean and syncd carbs for it too?

ok got even more of a low down for ya ..

    cops cops cops

after the hell that went on out here last nite .. was out til 11.30 moving massive boulders off the road cause the idiots that did not even slow down .. and after 3 cars hit cones etc right outside muh house .. its very well lit up now ..

its 9.15pm and it appears higgens may be controlling traffic all nite but cops are out here too and will be targeting ... and they will be ripping up the southern track tomorrow . the northern track is higher than southern by 1.2 metres .. probably will be all same height by the time the weekend ride takes place

hey sugilite .. at least you have an idea of what kinda mess this is .. were you not in this direction a lil while ago ?

Bbq is at UB's place on the way home (thanks again by the way), not sure when exactly we'l be back but 6pm is my guess.
Do you guys have any of those colour strips that you put around wheel rims? Preferably in yellow. Also need a headlight protector, crash bungs and a cattle prod if theres some going
