    Sounds great but why spend 2 days in the Nth Is before getting on the ferry??? Sure, staying in Rotorua Thurs nite is a good idea but I reckon save the Cape tour for another trip and head straight for Welly asap.
    Whenever I have toured the Sth Is I ride Auck to Welly, catch the 4pm ferry, land at Picton then ride to Kaikoura and stop there for the nite...
    Isn't the aim of this trip to spend as much time as poss riding in the South Island? Anyways unless it clashes with the Buell Rally ( which will be Nth Is this yr ) I am keen. Yeee HA!!!!
