You talking about me? I remember riding with you boys out to Kaiaua that day. That was when i had first bought the bike, had a bit more time to hoon on it since then!(the chicken strips quickly shrank.

I suppose that is one way to judge ability...chicken strips. I have about 3 or 4mm that i just cant loose on the rear tyre. Any further than that and the rear starts drifting...so need to work on where i put my weight i guess...

Perhaps, but some riders hang off more than others so make have larger chicken strips. The only way to judge your ability is to ride with bigger, faster bikes or good riders on 250's.

I don't know about Tristan as I haven't ridden with him for months. If you were keeping up with Gareth you must be good.

I hang off and get to the edge of my front tyre, so you can tell alot by chicken strips... And Gareth isnt exactly fast...(No offence Gareth)

I rode with Gareth, and he seemed quite good. Couldn't really tell, cause we were on a road and not a track, but he still got his R6 scraping the pegs... with a pillion I was quite impressed. I'd say his skills have improved a lot recently.

haha, you talk it like it is...

yes JSG, i am faster than you on a 250, but i am not 'fast' at the end of the day. Sometimes i am just crazy on the road and people mistake that as being fast, trust me vtec, if you had seen the faces of me and my pillion that day you would have seen pure terror in our eyes many a time.

You dont need to hang off to get to the edge of the tyre, but it does help.

hehehe, im not saying your slow either... But yes as you say it is hard to say if someone is fast on the road over distance, someone might go quick around corners, but only make safe passes, where another might be slower around corners and make stupid passes... yet they are still seen as equally quick on the road...
