Glad to hear you're alright Chris. Sounds like it was somewhat spectacular, must have been an interesting sight from the cagers perpective.

Have you had a chance to look over the bike yet? Damage?

And here I was thinking a KB ride went off without a bin...

Now GL, if you were a real KB biker you probably wouldn't have said that! :sneaky2:

    Hey Chris
I know how you feel!! But the most important thing is no broken bones/permanent damage, eh? The bike can be repaired or replaced...

Best thing you can do is not dwell on it: learn from the experience, move on.

Glad you had some good friends with you to help.

Look forward to the next ride together.

    Thanks all

Firstly i'd like to say it's been really nice to get home and read all the supportive messages
It definately makes me feel a bit better.
My gear stood up really well to the bin and i've just got a bit of bruising/minor cuts which i think is very lucky for a highside.
My baby is looking a little worse for wear but luckily didn't flip or roll so it's just damage to L/H side :-
Smashed crankcase cover (i think thats what it is) snapped of pegs and gear lever, indicators etc and of course fairing damage but hopefully nothing too serious.
But where would i be without KB'ers?....Probably still sitting in a little pumphouse shed where saslex and i were waitin for the legend that is FF to rescue me (saslex called FF for me after making sure i was allright) and then took me to his house gave me warm dry clothes and gave me dinner (thankyou to Mrs FF and Mum FF) And MR who picked me and my bike up from Puke and drove me home to West Auckland.

I really can't thank you guys enough, well above and beyond the calll of duty.
    Chris

Dunno but I'm guessing the weather man had looked out his window and was telling TV and Radio to broadcast that it was wet outside.
    Cheers

Glad to hear you are OK, but sorry about your bike. FF is certainly a legend.

Thank you Merv, But the real legend is my buddy from Counties Honda, the same guy who rang and booked me dinner at the local restraunt while I was out rideing and had forgotten that I had promised Mrs FF a night out. This dude, is used to calls from me at all hours asking for all sorts of favours. In this case my wife had the only car we have that has a tow ball, so I needed someone to tow my bike trailer out to Harrisville to pick up the Z6, My mate and his Mrs were on their way out to dinner, but did not hesitate, he swung round picked me and my trailer up, safely negoitated the swarm of mad Jaffs heading home after the V8s and helped me get the Z6 on the trailer.

    Firefight.

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.
