Bad news about all this guys, Ive read all the threads and am just relieved that Chris is okay. I think that we made the right call yesterday not doing the run, Its a damn shame that there was a crash.
Its fantastic how you guys helped Chris, it makes it worth riding with guys like yourselfs on KB. Awesome !!

    Firefight.
I hope this gives him a good plug then for people to go shop at his place. Bit far for us Wellingtonians but hopefully those in Auck area will pick up on it.
    Cheers

This dude, is used to calls from me at all hours asking for all sorts of favours. In this case my wife had the only car we have that has a tow ball, so I needed someone to tow my bike trailer out to Harrisville to pick up the Z6, My mate and his Mrs were on their way out to dinner, but did not hesitate, he swung round picked me and my trailer up, safely negoitated the swarm of mad Jaffs heading home after the V8s and helped me get the Z6 on the trailer.

    Firefight.
Yes sorry, The guy was fantastic and didn't seem to bat an eyelid as the soaking wet biker got in the back of his car.
I'll certainly be going out of my way to give him my custom.
He certainly went out of his way for me!

Glad to hear you're alright chris.

Bugger mate it's great to hear that you are ok though. It looks like you suffered the exact damage as my bike like even the snapped gear peg bracket, so if you need any help getting it sorted give us a ring. Just bought a compressor/spray kit if you looking at doing it yourself. Hopefully you'll be up and at it again in a short space of time. And yes FF you are a legend

what I don't understand is why someone whos' such a nice guy and all round damn decent rider like Firefight keeps being the common factor on rides where people bin their bikes!

Sorry to hear about your off chris. Is your fuel tank ok? I've got the original tank of my 97 ZX-6R still sitting in my garage. paints blistered in a few spots but no dents. let me know if you need it. Hope to see you back on road soon!

Thats only cause the guy just loves riding. If you notice another fact, which is that he is on almost every single ride that's on. So there's no surprise that he just happens to be there when most of these bins are happening.

We knew that, but it's much more fun inventing a jinx...

Yea but somethings aren't all that appropriate to joke about. Crashing is a really terrible thing and I am sure no one likes to be held responsible (even in a joke) for it. Just what I thought anyway.

The same could be said about me!

Looks like we're two of a kind, Dave! At least I'm in good company.

From what I understand FF was at home when Chris had his bin. The only common factor here was that FF came to the rescue, just like all other times he has been there to rescue.

Hey, if people started to take me seriously where would it end??

Anyway, I think FF can take a joke...

Thank you CK, a well thought out post, Unfortunatly this has been discussed before.I think perhaps a bit more research is in order. However I am to busy going for a ride to waste time telling you about it.

In retrospect FF, I think MR is on the money... its cause you and WT do so much damn riding (lucky buggers) that you're bound to be out there if someone has an off, regardless of whether you're in front, behind or go out as the recovery crew!
