    GSXR Monoshock-Bandit

    Hi troops,
Does anyone know if Suzuki GSXR 1000 factory rear shock will fit a 1200 Bandit, without any modifications, they both seem have the same centre to bolt holes?

Gixxer 1000 shock is slightly longer than the Gen 2 bandit one though it will fit. You get about 1.5" increase in rear ride height which can be sorted by fabbing up some new dog bone links. I modded a Gen 1 bandit to fit a Gixxer 1000 shock and it made a huge improvement. The K4 gixxer shock is the heaviest of them all and I got the correct sag on mine by fitting an aftermarket Eibach spring. I de-modded mine to sell the bike and still have the shock.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Don't bother lowering the bandit with the GSXR shock in it
The extra 1.5 inches makes it handle better, quickens the steering
