Is there anyone rather confident and experienced with night riding who would like to come along or is already coming and would be able to provide advice to those less confident in the dark?

I've noticed a few people aren't that confident in the dark so it'd be a good opportunity to spread some knowledge.

Nah I'm sweet, just recall hearing a few people complaining at the pub last week. If I remember correctly I was actually behind QKCHK for most of the ride when I joined up with them at Caltex.

If people wanna complain - fine! STAY AT HOME and ride in the day like all the rest of the sheep out there!

Couple of hints to enjoy the dark:

    1. Don't wear a tint visor and make sure your clear visor is sparkling clean (no bug conference) before we leave Westgate..
    2. A good headlight bulb is a starter (like duuuurrrrrr............), most factory standard headlight bulbs are only 65/55W but Im sure most bikes can take up to 100/55W or likewise.
    3. Make sure the headlight is aligned correctly so youre not looking for possums in the trees nor focusing 1 foot in front of the bike...........
    4. Where possible use your hi-beam.
    5. Experience and familiarity of the road that you are on. If you know what corner is coming up next - it helps!

Personally I really enjoyed last weeks ride, it was a nice change. Fresh air, dodging possums and a cold beer at the end.

For those who aint scared of the boogie monster, see ya on thursday!

Works both ways, tell that old cripple SPB to leave me alone and I'll do likewise. Or I wont have any other choice but to tell him to go fuck himself.

To reiterate, as stated in my first post in this thread - I'm not coming along on the ride with you lot.
