Good to see you all enjoying yourself! That rain was a bugger eh but when I went through it cleared (like magic) less than a km after Caltex but it was terrible windy!

The Guzzi needed a gallop so we pressed on through Mt Bruce, burnt a tank of gas on some more back roads, over the track and home. Wet roads from Otaki.

Nearly set fire to the Guzzi (no jokes please) and half of Otaki when filling up at BP otaki. A half dead wasp was stuck in my helmet and just as I was getting to the "I wonder how empty the tank is stage" the little bugger crawled out of my helmet and across the bottom of my glasses. Feck I got a fright, jerked the nozzle and spilled precious dino juice all over the hot Guzzi! Argh! Little bastard then stung me and fell into a bit of spilled fuel and died an agonising death (I hope)... Jeepers I jumped!

Was a bugger alright man. I take it you got home and everything ok then.

Bined the ZXR on the way back over the takas. Recracked all the recently repaired fairings Now the bike really does need repainting
You know you had a good nite when you have to ask someone if you had a good nite.

One time I was riding along SH50 (or is it 51?) through Onga Onga & Tikokino, when a bee fell into my visor through the gap between it & the helmet. I have never stopped so quickly in my life!

wicked ride. Thanks uncle B shame about the 3 guys that crashed. looking forward to the next one. i know have a radar on my cbr as of tonight. those 2 mufti cops that pulled up to the first carsh made me think these cops can be everywhere. so I bought a radar detector so now I can tell if they are around. although i try to stick to the speed limit 99.9% of the time. I do have the moments when I accelarate too hard & end up doing 140km/h without realising it lol
wanted: a tacho for GSXR 1100 1993 please Pm me if you have one.

Actually 3 mufti cars - blue 4x4 (Izuzu??) white Commodore s/wagon, and a burgandy coloured one I didnt get a good look at. Plus a marked patrol car. All got got to the site in under 2 minutes so they were all lurking on that bit of road between Te Marua and the Takas.....hmmm.......??????

With all those police guys following you guys and 3 wrecks???? I think I was safer where I was even drenched with petrol outside in a thunderstorm at a pyromaniacs convention mate!

Seriously, as I was bowling along behind you lot (unawares) and headed to Caltex I was tailed by a HP who then passed me etc and 'disappeared' around caltex... (I passed him by getting a better posn at the lights) I saw all the bikes at Caltex and went, d'oh thats right there was a roid on today and turned back. No HP to be seen! Thats ODD I thought! Wonder where he went?

I saw other muftis and they showed zero interest in me but there seemed to be a lot more Police on the road than one expects for the average Sunday! Odd!

    Hinterestin!

Try one crash and two synchroised spinners. 'Twas pretty slippery on the way back. Still, should be thankful that my forks didn't snap in half like those on the Multistrada at the summit. Bloody Eyeties!

Cheers Uncle B, A good day out.
