Dufus - I didn't start out with a new tyre - I had already done 8000+K's on it. I was talking about my tyre reaching the end of it's life and me having to replace it - which added to my expenses along with the ride expenses.

I'm not trying to start a my &^%& is bigger than yours as I can root a tyre before I get out of the shop contest.

Then again, you are the slowest indian, best you leave now so your not too far behind. I was suppose to leave last week.
I'm not talking about the roads after the forest. I'm talking about the place where the Yellow Sign is saying twisties next 24 kms.

EDIT: BEFORE ANYONE GETS THE WRONG IDEA I'M NOT TRYING TO RACE SPEEDMEDIC I JUST WANT TO BENCHMARK MYSELF AND COMPARE HOW FAR BEHIND I AM FROM A GOOD RIDER ON A FLASH MODIFIED BIKE, which unfortunately I have to admit he is and his bike has some rather special parts, although he is still very ugly and an absolute homo

You don't want a custard GSXR JSG, they have a nasty habit of becoming part of the scenery

Well there were two other custards present on the last ride that left everyone for dead, except that red and black Honda Unicycle that Zed rides.

I see there's a 250 only ride, have you had anyone on a Gixxer1000 complaining that they feel left out? What about FC or the Scared Sheep Shit? If we want to organise something and exclude someone then we will, that's life, harden the fuck up and get over it!

Personally I will be riding this ride at the pace I feel happy. This is home turf and as long as I know where we are starting and stopping I should able ta find my way there. "Roxanne" may be a 1000 but she would not be able ta keep up with a GOOD 250cc rider through the Forest let alone a purpose built race rocket. I do pick up on the more open road and have been known ta hammer it down the straights (this is were I would loose under 400cc'ers), but I would only do this in areas that I know there is little likely hood of seeing a cop.
My point here is that you would be surprised how little time you would have to wait for a smaller bike to catch-up at the stops depending on how hard out you are going. Rider experience is more of a concern ta me than their bike size. In general MOST 250 riders are still in the early learning stage (but not all), which is probably the concern here. That does not mean that larger bike riders are more experienced/better riders (cause I know a few who are not), but in general they tend to be.
At the end of the day a rider should be able to organise a ride that he/she will enjoy and be comfortable on (I can not see the point of organising a ride you are going to hate). If that excludes some riders then tough, it's not their ride, it's the organisers. The best thing for these riders to do is to organise their own ride, rather than getting shitty about not being allowed on that ride. OK?
    End of rant.

Yeah, haven't had my morning beer yet.

Fair enough, it's about time I posted up a ride plan.

    Southern Ride

Meeting at Tauriko Servo at 0545, depart at 0600

    Matamata at 0620

    Morrinsville at 0635

    Tahuna at 0650

    Ohinewai onramp 0720

Can stop at Bombay Autobarn at 0800 if anyone wants to meet there.

    Arrive Westgate at 0830.

I recommend you plan to be at any points 15mins before the posted time as they are only approximate, and if I don't see anyone I won't be stopping.

If anyone wants to meet somewhere else along the route, let me know.
